Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer, Navdeep Rinwa, announced that more than 70.69 lakh Form 6 applications were received for adding new names to the voter list. These applications were submitted during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process conducted from January 6 to March 6, 2026.
According to the data, women applicants (35.72 lakh) were slightly higher than men applicants (34.96 lakh) during the UP SIR Voter List revision drive. The verification and official hearings related to voter applications are currently in progress and are expected to be completed by March 27, 2026.
Citizens who applied for name inclusion or correction in the UP SIR Voter List 2026 can check their application status or file complaints through the Voters’ Service Portal of the Election Commission of India. This portal allows voters to easily track updates related to their voter registration and electoral roll details.

- No Unauthorized Deletions: Under SIR guidelines, no name can be removed without a formal notice and a reasoned order by the Electoral Registration Officer.
