Tipra Motha Party (TMP) has won the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Election 2026 by a large margin, taking 24 of the 28 seats. BJP managed to hold on to 4 seats. All 28 constituencies have declared results as of 17 April 2026, 2:44 PM. No seat is pending.
TMP contested all 28 seats and polled a total of 4,57,943 votes across the council area. BJP also contested all 28 seats, securing 2,18,072 votes in total. No other party won a seat - CPI(M), INC, IPFT, and independents were all shut out.

The final seat count across all 28 TTAADC constituencies is as follows:
- Tipra Motha Party (TMP) - 24 seats won, 4,57,943 total votes polled across 28 constituencies contested.
- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) - 4 seats won, 2,18,072 total votes polled across 28 constituencies contested.
- CPI(M) - 0 seats, 71,335 votes across 25 constituencies. Finished second in several seats but failed to win any.
- IPFT (Indigenous People's Front of Tripura) - 0 seats, 17,664 votes across 24 constituencies.
- INC - 0 seats, 15,180 votes across 27 constituencies.

- 24-Raima Valley (ST) - Dhananjoy Tripura (TMP) won with 39.21%.
- 4-Karamchhara (ST) - Ratish Tripura (TMP) won with 41.18%.
- 6-Manu-Chailengta - Hollywood Chakma (TMP) won with 39.06%.
- 1-Damcherra-Jampui (ST) - Bhaba Ranjan Reang (TMP) won with 37.43%.
BJP-Won Constituencies
BJP held on to 4 seats. Three of those were closely contested seats where TMP finished second. Details below:
- 2-Machmara - Manju Rani Sarkar (BJP) won with 48.36%, beating TMP's Swapan Kumar Chakma (31.70%). Located in Unakoti district.
- 3-Dasda-Kanchanpur - Shailendra Nath (BJP) won with 46.46%, beating TMP's Umashankar Reang (29.26%). Located in North Tripura district.
- 5-Chhawmanu (ST) - Esmel Joy Tripura (BJP) won with 46.11%, beating TMP's Hangsa Kumar Tripura (39.98%). Located in Dhalai district.
- 28-Silachhari-Manubankul (ST) - Kangjaong Mog (BJP) won with 37.98%, narrowly beating TMP's Manindra Tripura (36.65%). Located in South Tripura district.
About TTAADC Election 2026
TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) elections are held separately from the Tripura Legislative Assembly elections. The council governs the tribal areas of Tripura covering around two-thirds of the state's geographic area. The 2026 council election was held across 28 constituencies, all reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates except a handful of general-category seats. Counting took place on 17 April 2026.
