Punjab State Election Commission has announced the 2026 election schedule for 8 Municipal Corporations and 102 Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats. Polling for these local body elections will be held on May 26, 2026.
Polling will be held from 8 am to 5 pm, with results to be announced on May 29. A total of 36,72,932 voters are eligible to participate in this democratic process.

Nomination and Filing Process
STEP 1 - Candidates must visit the official State Election Commission Punjab website to download nomination forms and required documents.
STEP 2 - Submit the completed forms along with property disclosure details between May 13 and May 16.
STEP 3 - Ensure the nomination package includes all necessary affidavits, as scrutiny is scheduled for May 18.
