DMK and Congress Seal Seat-Sharing Deal for Tamil Nadu Election 2026: Congress to Contest 28 Seats

In Tamil Nadu, the ruling DMK and Congress have officially finalized their seat-sharing agreement for the 2026 Assembly elections. After several rounds of discussions, it was decided that Congress will contest 28 Assembly seats, which is three more seats than it contested in the 2021 elections. As part of the agreement, DMK has also given one Rajya Sabha seat to Congress.
