Actor-turned-politician Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) won 108 seats in the Tamil Nadu Election 2026. The party received support from Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and IUML, which together added 12 more seats. With total support of 120 seats, the alliance crossed the majority mark and formed the new government in Tamil Nadu.
TVK Party chief C. Joseph Vijay strengthened his team by inducting 23 new ministers, who took oath on 21 May 2026. The new Cabinet features a mix of young leaders, fresh faces, and experienced members, reflecting Vijay’s vision to build a stronger and people-focused government in Tamil Nadu.
