Bhartiya Janta Party has released its manifesto for 2026 assembly elections in Puducherry. The manifesto is themed as "Pazhamaiyudan Puthumai" (Tradition with Modernity) and focuses on transforming the Union Territory into a hub for business, education, spirituality, and tourism (BEST).

- LPG Subsidy: Two free LPG cylinders annually (one for Pongal and one for Vinayagar Chaturthi) for all ration card holders.
- Food Security: Establishment of 30 'Atal Unavakam' meal centers offering affordable meals, managed by women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
- Solar Power: An additional ₹20,000 UT subsidy for first-time users of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
2. Women and Youth Empowerment
- Pink Autos: Financial subsidies up to ₹50,000 and free driving courses for women to start "Pink Auto" services.
- Education Incentives: 'Anbu Thangai Thittam' to provide free e-Scooters to meritorious Class 12 girl students.
- Job Reservation: Pursuing 60% domicile reservation for local youth in Group C & D government jobs and 20% in UT public universities.
- Employment: 10,000 internships with a ₹10,000 monthly stipend and quarterly job fairs via a new 'Thiran Paadhai' portal.
3. Infrastructure and Connectivity
- Railway Overhaul: Renaming Puducherry Railway Station after Mahakavi Bharathiyar and introducing a Vande Bharat train connecting Puducherry to Mysuru and a Vande Metro to Chennai.
- Urban Transit: Expansion of the airport and rollout of electric buses under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme.
- Water Management: Resolving drinking water issues through 30 Water ATMs, desalination plants in Puducherry and Karaikal, and "SHEFROL" filtration units.
4. Agriculture and Fisheries
- Farmer Support: A UT "top-up" of ₹3,000 in addition to PM-KISAN, totaling ₹9,000 annually per farmer.
- Fisheries: Increasing the fishing ban relief from ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 and sanctioning 5,000 houses exclusively for fishing families.
- Sugar Mills: Reviving the Pondicherry Cooperative Sugar Mill and New Horizons Sugar Mill through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
5. Heritage and Culture
- Official Emblem: Replacing the existing Government of Puducherry emblem with the Villianur Ther (Chariot) Insignia.
- Siddhar Heritage: Developing a "Siddhar Circuit" to promote spiritual tourism and establishing a Siddhar Research and Training Institute.
- Spiritual Tourism: Rejuvenating the Thirunallar Dharbaranyeswarar Temple and providing free shuttle services for devotees.
6. Healthcare and Safety
- Wellness City: Positioning Puducherry as a global "Wellness City" for medical tourism.
- Drug-Free Mission: Upgrading 'Operation Vidiyal' into a permanent Anti-Drug Task Force to make the UT drug-free.
- Senior Care: Free cataract surgeries and spectacles for BPL senior citizens aged 70 and above.
