These promises focus on taking back illegally occupied land, introducing a Uniform Civil Code, boosting the state’s overall development, and creating more job opportunities for young people.
Overall, the manifesto highlights development, law enforcement, and employment as its main priorities. The assembly elections in Assam are scheduled to take place in a single phase on April 9.

Key Highlights of Assam Election Manifesto 2026
- UCC Promise: :(BJP) will try to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Assam, but it will not apply to Sixth Schedule and tribal (ST) areas.
- Action Against "Love Jihad": The government promised strict action against "Love Jihad" and better law and order in the state.
- Employment for Youth: The BJP promised to create 2 lakh jobs for young people after winning the elections.
- Flood-Free Assam: The government plans to make Assam flood-free within two years by spending ₹18,000 crore.
- "One District, One Institution" Model: Under this plan, the BJP will build one medical college, one engineering college, and one university in every district.
- Welfare Schemes for Women: The government will give ₹25,000 financial help in the second phase of the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Scheme. It will also increase the Orunodoi scheme amount from ₹1,250 to ₹1,350 and launch Nijut Sipini to support 10 lakh weavers.
- Infrastructure Development: The BJP plans to invest ₹5 lakh crore to develop Assam and make it India’s eastern gateway.
- Other Promises: These include development of tea tribe communities, protection of tribal and indigenous land, better income support for farmers, preservation of Assam’s culture, and launching the Asom Nagar Unnayan Abhijan for urban development.
