Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made history by winning a huge majority of 207 seats in theWest Bengal Assembly Elections 2026. Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari took oath as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal in a grand ceremony attended by party leaders and supporters.

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari inducted 35 new ministers into his cabinet, increasing the total strength of the Council of Ministers to 41, including himself. The expanded ministry includes 13 Cabinet Ministers, 3 Ministers of State (Independent Charge), and 19 Ministers of State (MoS).
