Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its election manifesto, called “Sankalp Patra” or “Bhoroshar Shopoth,” for the West Bengal Assembly Elections, with a strong focus on women’s welfare. Overall, the manifesto aims to support women through better job opportunities, security, and financial benefits.
In this manifesto, the party has promised that if it comes to power, it will implement the 7th Pay Commission and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within six months. It has also assured 33% reservation in jobs for women in the state.

Lakshmir Bhandar Prakalpa:
This scheme gives monthly financial help to women who are the head of their family. General category women get ₹500 per month, while SC/ST women get ₹1,000 per month. Around 2 crore women benefit from this scheme. The state government spends about ₹2,000 crore every year on it.
Kanyashree Prakalpa:
This scheme supports education for girls. Unmarried girls aged 13–18 (Classes 8 to 12) get ₹750 every year. When they turn 18, they receive a one-time amount of ₹25,000. The aim is to help girls continue their studies and stop early marriage.
Rupashree Scheme:
Under this scheme, families get ₹25,000 as a one-time financial help for the marriage of their daughters who are above 18 years. It helps reduce the cost of marriage.
Nandini Sahakar:
This scheme helps improve the financial condition of women through cooperative groups. It provides financial support, loans, and help to start small businesses.
Swayam Shakti Sahakar Yojana:
This scheme gives financial support to cooperative societies so they can provide loans to women self-help groups (SHGs). It helps women become financially independent.
Self-Help Groups (SHGs):
The government encourages women to form small groups to save money and take loans. These groups help women earn income and become self-reliant.
Free Diagnostic Services:
Women can get free medical tests and health check-ups in government hospitals. The government also plans to expand free cancer treatment for women.
